Adam M. Silvia (Florida International University)

Adam M. Silvia is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at Florida International University in Miami, FL, where he writes about United States diplomacy, Latin American history, technology, and the Cold War. He was previously a student at Framingham State University, which was originally America’s first normal school for the training of teachers. There, Adam developed a love of teaching, which he later combined with his interest in technology to create An Island Luminous with the help of many friends and supporters. A “Jack-of-all-trades,” Adam oversaw every stage in the site’s development, even its artwork and design. BACK
